Do you prefer handlebar or pedal brakes on bicycles?

Every bike I've ever had had handlebar brakes.

I prefer pedal breaks but yes it was a sad childhood.

Pedal brakes were the shite. Haul arse and slam the brakes and power slide

Hell yeah. Especially after the rain where you can get a good slide. Or hard breaks in the grass and leave a rut.

Coaster brakes on the beach cruiser for sure. Handlebar brakes on the road bike.

I've had everything from Huffy with coaster brakes to full suspension mountain bikes to carbon fiber road bikes.

Best brakes were on mountain bikes. The modern handlebar/caliper brakes on them are unbelievable. The new disc brakes are good too.
