And also, if someone gave you $35k to go buy a new vehicle, what car/truck would you buy? And you can't go over $35k

Foreign for passenger vehicles, American for commercial vehicles.

I prefer Japanese vehicles. I know you're looking to buy new, but go get a used Lexus or Toyota. Good as new

My "foreign" Tundra was actually completely made and assembled in the US from what I read in a article the other day. So I prefer American made.

What if a foreign named vehicle is made here in the states. What category does that fall under?

35k is a number right in the middle of where luxury begins. I would probably buy a Jeep Geand Cherokee, maybe a year or two used for 35K.

Toyota and Honda have never given me problems.
Ford and Chevy have always been problem-starters. Don't get me started with Dodge.

For diesel, dodge.

I don't buy ford, Chevy, dodge, Buick or Chrysler because I keep vehicles to 250k and toss em.

Toyota or certain nissan.

I have a Rubicon that has been a problem child since day one. My xterra has started leaking everything at 205k miles. But I'd drive it to Africa tomorrow.

It doesn't matter either way to me.

For 35K, I'd go buy a D90.

Trucks- American Just sold a Ram Mega Cab and Bought F-250
SUV- Both Currently have a Grand Cherokee Overland but would drive a four runner or an Audi Q7
Sedan- Foreign Have an Infiniti G37 as a work car now. About the only American sedan I would drive would be one of the fast Cadillacs. My next vehicle purchase will probably be an Audi S6 or S7 for the wife to drive.
