You should meet my wife. I can have my wife done in under 2 minutes. After that, she's completely uninterested in round two and is just waiting for me to finish. It's actually quite efficient if I want it to be. If I try to make it last longer than 10-15 minutes, I'll get some hints that she's ready to wrap it up

Maybe I'm doing it wrong, but there is nothing pleasant about 15+ minutes of sex for either party IMO.

If I'm still able to get it up when I'm drunk I can last a lot longer than 6.

I honestly don't understand why it is considered some sort of manly thing to last 10-15 minutes or more before climaxing. Isn't that the point? If you or your partner cannot both climax within 15 minutes of vaginal intercourse, you're doing something wrong.

Well, I just like for it to go on for as long as I can make it. If I cum in 5 minutes, I feel like I missed out another 10 minutes of good sex.

I think it is safe to assume that most people enjoy the orgasm more than anything, so both partners should be working towards that goal.

Well, yeah...that's one way to look at it. But from my perspective, it's more about the journey rather than the destination, if you get my meaning?

Sex feels great long before orgasm, right? Prolonging that for the both of you, again...assuming you like the journey, is kind of a good thing as far as I'm concerned. I'm not really in the camp that the goal ought to be a race to orgasm. That actually sounds like some junior high jerk off game to see just how fast you could cum, before you realized that probably wasn't the best idea to learn how to do! Reading this thread, though...

Obviously, to each his own...but for me, if sex is only going to last two minutes I'd just as well spank it, if the point was just release in and of itself. All of this is contingent on whatever your woman finds most appealing...

Props. I love the journey as you said. And as I age, the journey is way more important and feels way better.

Before I begin to address your reply point by point, can you please clarify whether or not you are indeed a female?

If you are a female, then I'm sorry you have never been with a decent lover at any point during your sex life.

And if you are not a female, then I'm curious why you are quick to label me as ignorant.

Some women have difficulty orgasming from a psychological aspect while other women are simply anorgasmic due to their biology.

Also, I never said during my post that every single woman in existence can achieve orgasm, particularly through vaginal penetration or intercourse. All I said was that I found those numbers to be flawed and greatly exaggerated. The number claimed by the previous poster, 75%, who cited "most studies" but failed to produce a proper link would constitute a vast majority of the female population.

Anorgasmia can often cause sexual frustration. Anorgasmia is far more common in females (4.7 percent)

The condition is sometimes classified as a psychiatric disorder. However, it can also be caused by medical problems such as diabetic neuropathy, multiple sclerosis, genital mutilation, complications from genital surgery, pelvic trauma (such as from a straddle injury caused by falling on the bars of a climbing frame, bicycle or gymnastics beam), hormonal imbalances, total hysterectomy, spinal cord injury, cauda equina syndrome, uterine embolisation, childbirth trauma (vaginal tearing through the use of forceps or suction or a large or unclosed episiotomy), vulvodynia and cardiovascular disease.[3]

A common cause of situational anorgasmia, in both men and women, is the use of anti-depressants, particularly selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs). Though reporting of anorgasmia as a side effect of SSRIs is not precise, studies have found that 17–41% of users of such medications are affected by some form of sexual dysfunction.[4][5]

Another cause of anorgasmia is opiate addiction, particularly to heroin.[6] Beat icon William S. Burroughs chronicled this problem (amongst many others) in his novel Naked Lunch. About 15% of women report difficulties with orgasm, and as many as 10% of women in the United States have never climaxed.[7][8] Only 29% of women always have orgasms with their partner.[9]
