What a shite show.

Premiums up 65%
Deductibles have doubled
Insurance companies won't cover meds that they have covered for years.

When will this shite be repealed?

My mother has a severe liver disease and no insurance company would take her. Combine that with self employment and there wasnt much options.

So yes it works for us

Yes, but they are in the minority, and it's all because of pre-existing conditions, which is of course something Trump said would stay covered.

Never mind that anyone who thinks insurance should cover pre-existing conditions obviously doesn't know what the term insurance means.

All I know is that my health insurance company has been trying to bend me over to cover its losses.

There is only 1 holdout left on the PB. She's sinking with this ship.

Other than that? People who are on the expanded medicaid roles, or those receiving subsidies from your premium increases.

Anyone with actual skin in the game knows it's crap.

Rarely do I agree with the GOP, but I like the idea of private insurance companies being able to conduct interstate business. Basically, erase the state lines. It should lower the cost and make healthcare more affordable.

Some citizens, they just aren't going to get it. It's a bill. And they aren't paying it. Institute a penalty. Great. They don't pay income taxes regardless.

Y'all don't realize that all the State Insurance Commissioners are going to fight this with everything they have. They don't want interstate business because it lessens their power. It's a huge can of worms that no one is talking about. And for everyone here that is against covering pre-existing conditions, eat a dick and I hope y'all have to go through the shite that many have concerning this.

ok, im going to play devils advocate here, and Im not saying this is your mothers situation but....lets say your mother was a alcoholic and pill popper for 20-30 years and developed this liver disease.....she never had her own health insurance and was self employed...that was her choice.

Now she has liver disease and cant afford medical treatment, but here comes OBAMA CARE to save the day....you think it's right for all hard working Americans to foot the bill for your mothers bad choices in life?

It's a cost of being self employed. If you can't afford it, then maybe you should rethink being self employed.

Kind of like if you can't afford to tip, then you can't afford to eat out.

Using your logic, why do people not pay a flat tax? We are a society of unequals, does that mean we kill off the poor?

It works for a lot of people, there's no denying that. It's mostly just for the unemployed and/or single parents. However the people really suffering are the healthy middle Americans. Including myself.

20's healthy male who doesn't smoke shouldn't be paying $404/month with a $9,000 deductible for only major medical and 1 free visit a year.

Tough shite. That's a personal choice and a personal problem for her. Shouldn't be my problem. I can pay for my own insurance, I shouldn't have to pay for hers too just because "it's expensive".

It works for the typical people that milk the system and live off of the hard working class people.

Before ACA, Insurance companies could drop you at any time they wanted. That is what happened to me and I had no health insurance until I got married and was put on my wife's.

That's just an awful, illogical way to look at things - especially the tip analogy.
