One of the reasons it was so big is a lot of people thought the Beatles were going to get back together for the show

About 5 of my high school buddies went. Could have gone with them but I was making big money,$2/hr at the sausage factory so I declined. What I remember most about what they said is the mud, rain and slop was miserable . Also wasn’t “my type” of music

I had an uncle who drove up there with a buddy all way from Kentwood, LA.
I remember him briefly talking about it, but I never go to ask him about the good shite.

that's like saying millennials don't deserve to have fast current tech. Broad brushing a bit there.

Uhmmmm........the Beatles hadn't broken up yet at the time of Woodstock.

They hadn't performed live in years. But they never gave any indication that they would ever perform live again.

Why did Woodstock end?
At the time, idk. But there was too much liability to do a 50 year reunion this year I remember reading about. Makes sense.

I was way too young. But I got hold of some old playboys that had pics of the festival of life.and while they weren’t great pictures I’d swear I saw what looks like my sister skinny dipping. She swears it isn’t her and she wasn’t there

Yep. A former drug dealer in Tampa. He is older but has his original ticket mounded on a original poster from Woodstock. He collects everything so it doesn't surprise me he has this and I guess he never got over the drugs either.

Yes, and I knew several people who were at the Celebration of Life Festival held in '71 in McCrea, LA.

No...but I worked with a guy who hitchhiked there from Tennessee. He was 18 and got within about 200 miles of it, when he ran out of money (and luck...apparently). He wound up having to call home to get wired money and come back.
