One guy from upstate New York I worked with claims he was there. But he’s a habitual liar so there’s that.

My mom is from Buffalo and was there. I have never asked what her experience was there and I don't think I want to know!

My ex-MIL was there and was a bonafide hippie hitchhiking cross country. Then she got knocked up, had to get and job, and start paying taxes. When she died last year her political ideas made Rush Limbaugh look liberal.

My father was. He lost his shoes in the mud the first day and took the wrong acid. Was extremely pissed at my mother for throwing away his sleeping bag that he used

Yes. Talked to a guy in my hunting club who went. He said all the stories are true

Financial hits weren't the only hits taken, I'm sure...

Don’t know anyone who went to Woodstock but my Dad went to the Monterey Pop Festival. That was a much better lineup imo.

Yeah, an old nerdy reservoir engineer I worked with. He got his ticket laminated and kept in his wallet and couldn’t go half a day without working it in to some conversation & pulling out his ticket to show everyone. JFC he was insufferable.

My freshman year in college, there was a hippie/biker guy in one of my classes who had been to Woodstock. This was 1986 and everybody my age thought that was an ancient legendary gathering. The 40ish year old hippie spent some time trying to convince us that “it wasn’t that long ago!”, but at 18 years old it seemed like it was.

Why did Woodstock end? I love the videos from the late 90s. Looks awesome

People who actually bought tickets to Woodstock: 100,000.

More like 10,000

Lots of freebie tickets with all that acid floating around.

My grandfather said he had just returned stateside from Army barracks in Frankfurt and heard about a concert in upstate NY. Turned out to be Woodstock. He and 2 buddies bought a car and went. He never said what took place while he was there, just that MawMaw was not pleased with him when he got back to AL.

I was fifteen. Quit my summer job in Monticello. Can't believe I made it this far after all that.

My mom and dad both were, though not together. They had some great stories from it. Mom brought a camera but all the rain ruined it so no pics.
