Plenty of time to get a legal name change to Ron Mexico.

Rusty Shackleford would be the correct choice.

Plus, many states only allow you to claim at the headquarters of it is a significant amount. Also, they require an appointment for jackpot claims. Maybe they plan of informing media when you will show??? Answer is name change to opposite sex, movie makeover shop that you give no name and pay cash to make you look completely different, claim prize, and change name back. Instead of blonde hair Joe that family and friends know, everyone doesn't recognize red haired Rhonda.

I think a winner here opened and LLC or something

Put it in a trust if you want to remain anonymous, not an LLC.

There are several people that I would not want to know. There are some that I would actually fear for my life if they did know.

Every time this subject is discussed I can't help but think the person who says this must lead a shady life and/or have some shady people amongst their friends/family.

There are hundreds of households that are worth significantly more than the jackpot and they go about their business just fine. Everyone knows Warren Buffet is incredibly wealthy, but he doesn't seem to be bothered by these burdens that the average joe apparently has. Lastly, if you win that kind of money you can easily purchase all of the security you need.

Why wouldn't you want to? It would be sweet to rub it in the faces of all those bullies from school and early life who said I would always be a failure.

frick you, Jimmy, Rachel, dad, etc. Look at me now!

I have to disagree, I'm going to go with Joey Freshwater.

Completely anonymous?

I remember Louise White ( RI) winning & also starting her Rainbow Sherbert Trust.

Did she not have to come forward?

Is it that simple to remain " legally" anonymous?

Donate it to a Trust & my name shall not be released?

All but five states -- Delaware, Kansas, Maryland, North Dakota and Ohio -- have laws that require the lottery to release the name and city of residence to anyone who asks, according to the Multi-State Lottery Association.

That's stupid as hell. Especially with jackpots as big as this one.
