Do you have to give your identity when you win the lottery.

There are several people that I would not want to know. There are some that I would actually fear for my life if they did know.

This has certainly never been talked about. And definitely not here.

In most states, yes. Even if you go through an intermediary, it's on file with the Secretary of State, where anybody with an internet connection and the motivation of a three toed sloth can look it up.

Not in Ohio, which is where I live. So if you win, let me claim the prize so no one knows it was you. You can trust me

In louisiana yes. However, I think a winner here opened and LLC or something and the attorney accepted it on the persons behalf.

I want almost no one to know. My friends would figure it out eventually....especially if i wasnt working...traveling non-stop.....looking fly, getting high....spinning rims...

I feel pretty confident in my chances.

That I'm not sure of.

You have something like 180 days to claim your prize.
Plenty of time to get a legal name change to Ron Mexico. Nobody will suspect a thing.

So, how far behind are you on child support?
Posted on 1/12/16 at 4:31 pm to Yammie250F
Yes you do, I saw it the other day. Even though the winning numbers are the same, you have to claim it in the state you bought the ticket

Yes.
They will also run a background check to see of you owe taxes ,child support ,lotto employee( illegal)etc......
A few states you can remain anonymous, but they will still need your identity.
They will not release the money until you are identified
