Who are these people and why the hell do I not know any of them? First off, black people who look at mixed people as outcasts are pieces of shite and deserve to be called out for it. That's a completely different thread though.

Who the shite gives these people such hard times? I don't hang out with a single person who would make a black or mixed person feel like shite. And i don't hang out with perfect little angels either, it's just race isn't a big deal AT ALL. Who the hell was your friend's daughter hanging out with? I make friends with people who I find interesting and have things in common with. Their skin color is literally irrelevant.

I don't want to sound like a dick but I don't even feel bad for your friend's daughter. There are assholes EVERYWHERE. Don't hang out with them. I wasn't born yesterday. I know for a damn fact that there are PLENTY of awesome people to spend your time with. I'll never understand how people can be hated on or "persecuted" or judged and bitch about it. It isn't hard to find people who value you and people who don't can kick rocks. Maybe I'm ignorant...?

I encourage you to sit down with one of your ethnic friends and ask for their perspective on how they view the world.

I feel for the young lady, especially being a young lady of color. Women are already pretty insecure, and invested in their body image. Our society is getting better at it, but having cousins of color, I know of the constant reminders the media and press give that black doesn't equal beautiful.

It's tough on a girls

I know a chick who is half Hispanic and half white, she calls herself a half breed. You could always roll with that.

Why would you say something so insensitive? He already said she identified as white, and here you are mislabeling the poor girl.

in order to determine your legal standing ask yourself if you are capable of committing a hate crime.

In today's America you'll want to put "black" on college and scholarship applications. Mark white for most job applications.

That being said, identify however you want. It shouldn't matter to your friends. In reality it is just a societal phenomenon of attaching unnecessary qualifiers to things.

If America were truly a melting pot then we could move past many of these labels. You should be proud of your ancestry, but it doesn't need to define you.

When born, the government classifies a person as black if they are mixed. My wife and I teach him that he's biracial, and has the best of both worlds.

He has lots of white and black friends. It's really not a big deal at all.
