Do you consider mixed race black people to be "black" or simply "mixed race"

All my friends label me as black just because of the 1 drop rule and i think that is just bullshite

Now a days you can be whatever you want to be. Boys being girls, whites being black, dogs being cats, etc. Labels are for yesterday.

If you can check the box on the employment or grant application to the preferred treatment, then that's what you are. Very few black people here now can trace their roots to Africa.

I usually tell a racist joke and determine their ethnicity based on their reaction.

Also, the OP should feel foolish. His friends call him black. So what does he do? Run to the OT and ask for opinions on the matter. Genius.

If I'm describing them to other people, I say black. If the subject comes up with said person, I ask.

My black friends call them mixed breeds, I don't go that far.
