It is a weird situation.

My nephew is a lazy frick whose wife posted on FB, after having the child that she shouldn't be expected to give sexual favors while she can't have sex.

There is more to it than that but that is just the craziness I don't want to be around.

since youre running for office (again) you need to be out making as many appearances as possible

youre not going to receive any votes based off your looks

And I told you I was not serious jackass. That was what 5, 6.... 7 years ago? You really took that personal. Probably as personal as the guy serving our country, who came home to learn his wife was banging some arse clown.

To be fair.. How many elected officials get elected based off of their looks? If that was the case Mary Landrieu would have never won an election.

Serious reply....a verbal birthday party invite the week of the event means you were an afterthought anyways. No reason for anyone to get upset if you weren't there.

That is 100% irrelevant to attending a kid's first birthday party. If you can't avoid talking about politics and religion for 45 minutes for a kid's birthday, then you're a pretty trashy family.

Shockingly, I understand your dilemma. My 1st cousin's daughter (not sure if she is my 2nd cousin or my cousin once removed) didn't directly invite me to her fat assed baby's first birthday party. Well, having not been invited, I didn't show up. Who knew you were expected to attend a party to which you weren't invited - my spidey sense failed me on this one. Subsequently the shite hit the fan.
Cousin's wife brands me the anti-Christ - yada yada yado - f them.

You were an after thought, that only got thought of as he/she was talking to your mom. You're not in their life, as you've chosen not to be, and they don't want you there anyway.

It's not a big deal.

If you wanted to cause a stink, you could tell your mom to have them personally invite you next time rather than a verbal pass through your mom. But then you may actually have to go... so don't bother, since you don't want to go anyway.

(And your mom was probably just trying to be nice to you by acting like you were missed.)

Unfortunately, you and I must be really bored to even be discussing this.
