I just hold a nostril closed and blow.

And if I have to shite on the run I just use a sock or leaves.

I don't generally but I do if I am wearing a suit and it is very hot or if I am going to a wedding. When a lady starts tearing up a little at a wedding and you have a hanky for her, she is very impressed. Also handy for second lines.

My father carries one to this day. I remember in college (1995-1999) the Sigma Chi pledges had to carry two at all times for:

1. The ladies
2. The blood, sweat, and tears of their brothers

My roommate was a Sigma Chi and that's what he told me, so I can't vouch 100% it's authenticity but that bozo always had two handkerchiefs with him.

My father in law does. Quite frankly, I find the practice disgusting.

There's a woman crying at every workplace everywhere. Sometimes you don't see it, but it's happening. This is why women aren't taken seriously.

Yes I do, I was given some of my grandfathers. (the clean ones) Some are from the 1940s. And I think it is a great thing to carry with you. Its a very versatile tool to keep on you. Same concept as keeping a work towel in your car. I never really use it for my nose. Its more for helping a lady with a spilled drink on her shirt, or let her use it as a cushion for her Knees while you stand in front of her, but mainly if you see a crying woman its comforting to give her a handkerchief. Its a good start to being a gentleman. Also mind your pleases and thank yous, open the door, help elderly with anything, and a handkerchief is a solid addition.

Any husband should always have at least a tissue. You never know when your wife will see or hear something to make her emotional.
