But the thing is, NASA doesn’t decide on star signs and has little interest in astrology because it isn’t science.

Once again, I'm not talking about horoscopes. I think those are bogus. I'm talking about the zodiac signs themselves.

I love those girls you used to meet that would say stuff like, "oh yea that makes sense they ended up together due to their signs", or "they weren't compatible because he was a (blank) and she was (blank)".

I kinda get what your saying. I don't believe the horoscope bs at all. The personality stuff I did find a lot of it to match up though. And when looking at what it said about other signs, my friends seemed to match up pretty good too.

I still don't believe in the horoscope crap, but I'm a Virgo. And what I read was pretty spot on my personality: how I act, what I'm attracted to, etc.

I sense that the month of February has significance for you.

I guess you missed the part of the article that said 86% of people's signs aren't what they thought they were.....

Because of this thread I just scanned a little information about my sign. Some of it was contradictory and other parts were actually the complete opposite of me.

Not new, just ignored by "astrologers".

Not your whole life, just the part the astrologers had you believe.

This article explains it more succintly.
quote:

The thing is, there are more than 12 constellations the sun can pass through. Some are smaller, or have fainter stars, so they get ignored. The biggest is Ophiuchus, the serpent-bearer, which is a huge constellation taking up quite a bit of celestial real estate, and in fact the sun spends more time in Ophiuchus than Scorpius. Scorpius has brighter stars and an obvious scorpion-like shape, so it gets better press. So no, NASA didn’t add in Ophiuchus or change the zodiac or anything like that. Ophiuchus has been around this whole time, but has been ignored by astrologers. They’re the ones who should take the blame for all this, not actual scientists who don’t even think astrology is worth wrapping fish in anyway. Worse, there aren’t really 13 zodiacal constellations. By some counts, there are as many as 21. Not only that, but Earth wobbles like a top, very slowly, and over centuries that changes the dates the sun is in a given constellation. If you were born in late March in ancient Greece, you would have been an Aries. Today, you’d be a Pisces.
