They only make $4 an hour.

I'm skeptical of this. They don't even give the option to tip on credit card payments. I thought the establishment had to have the option if they paid their employees like a waiter/waitress or they had to abide by normal minimum wage guidelines.

My niece just quit at a Ft. Worth Sonic as her 1st job (was getting worked too many hours at night, she's a senior in HS and taking college courses mostly).

She related that the people working inside get paid minimum wage, the workers outside get $4/hr +tips.

I can appreciate that and I don't know the answer there. I just know that the outside workers get $4 per hour plus tips. There are two of us on this thread now that have pretty reliable info on this and we both say the same thing. I have nothing to gain by it. Just relaying info.

I do but it depends on the person serving me. If they are friendly and I can see they are working hard, they get a good tip.

If they are rude, slow as f@ck and and cant even remember to bring straws for drinks, napkins, then no.

When we bring out pup with us to get food the servers always bring him a doggie treat. he politely accepts but he knows the ordered him a small ice cream too. He loves his sonic, lol.

It's all up to them.
