Do these weekly workout and diet totals seem excessive?

Weekly Workout Totals
400 squats
1120 calf raises
200 leg extensions
200 leg curls
120 barbell curls
240 triceps extensions
192 bench presses
164 butterfly presses
192 military presses
128 pull-ups
600 sit-ups
2 hours on the treadmill

- This burns approx 4000 calories burned in gym

Weekly Diet Totals and Notes
- take in 12,000 - 14,000 calories a week
- drink just coffee in mornings
- usually bypass breakfast and lunch
- eat large dinner and whatever else you may want

Luncg (IMO) should be the largest meal of the day. Or you can eat a huge dinner and have it sit on your fat arse all night.

So you eat a 2,000 calorie dinner every night?

Unless this "workout plan" offers some form of daily structure that details a typical daily split, chances are an individual with a novice background in fitness will not properly distribute these reps. That's a shite ton of volume to recover from if you are just starting out.

Also, I take issue with the fact that the workout is based around prescribed volume for each individual exercise. There is no prescribed weight percentage given for the compound movements so chances are an individual can quickly frick this up in a hurry.

And to answer your question...yes, the totals are remarkably excessive, regardless of intensity. Resistance training shouldn't be treated as a aerobic/cardio-specific activity.

Finally, good luck adapting to all of that shite when you are in a caloric deficit and consuming a mere 2000 calories/day.
