Yes, we have had doggy doors for 36 years and never had wildlife come in the house, except for the few our dogs or cats brought in.

We had one when I was younger. We didn't have any issue with animals coming in by themselves, however my cat would often carry animals with him. Plenty of mornings waking up to a dead bird, mole, and even a live snake one time. fricking a-hole cat

For the last 12 years in two houses. Just to and enclosed mud room this time. Last house was directly into den. Nothing is coming in with that Welsh Terrier in there. I love it because we can stay gone multiple days without worrying about the dog(s).

I have a security code on mine, labs know the code but other creatures don't.

One time I saw my neighbor's yard guy (65 yr old man) go in my neighbor's dog door and come out with a sandwich.

I have one that access my "dog room" When we built the house we built a room that is about 6'x6' feet with a tile floor and tile walls. It has a drain in the center of the floor.

I went so far as adding a floor heater (about $300) so when they get old and the cold really affects them I can give them a place to get out of the cold. It also has a large plastic mop sink in there that is big enough for me to bathe them. There is a door from that room into our laundry room and has a dead bolt and an alarm contact so someone could not enter my house.

We have one. Never had a coon or a possum come through it, but the cat has brought in all kinds of stuff. The worst was a bat which was not dead. We get a few snakes every summer too. Another time I caught him trying to pull a rabbit through the doggy door.

Never have this issue really. You can always slide the plastic piece over. On my current place the dog door is on the screen door. So I just close the regular door at night.

And if the dogs outside, and I have it open at night, no freaking raccoon is coming in with the dog being there.
