We all are. No one could handle the thoughts that run through our mind.

I'm a pretty normal dude. Go to work, come home, have a beer, watch whatever sporting event is on that night, rinse and repeat. Every now and then when no one is around I'll paint my nails and pretend to be a hand model, take photos of my hands in different jewelry and add it to my scrapbook. When my hands are looking extra pretty I'll masturbate, I can't help myself, but then I get really mad that I defiled my hands and vigorously wash my hands over and over until they turn red, which usually sends me into a depression for a week or so and I end up playing hooky from work.

No one would care, or be able to process it if they did, and I wouldn't be able to communicate it effectively and completely anyway. Probably not to anyone and definitely not to everyone I meet. It has nothing to do with any shame or attempt to hide anything. It has to do with matching the appropriate aspect of myself to the appropriate situation.

Most of us modify who we are to be socially acceptable, and employable.

Intentional and unfiltered is what you seek. Not as easy as it sounds. Requires you to always look inward first.

Personally, I think I am pretty up front with who I am. I can be who I need to be in certain situations.

Like when you pretend to get in fights and kick people arse when we all know you don’t?

unless you consider not saying or doing exactly what you want all the time "hiding yourself", then no.

You only see a small aspect of everyone that you know. It isn't a "mask." Most people aren't really hiding anything. You just never actually get to truly know pretty much anyone, even the people with whom you are closest. The true you, at the center, that only you know will always be isolated and hidden. This is the same for everybody. There will always be a side to the people in your life that could surprise you, that you know nothing about.

I guess this actually makes sense. Nothing surprises me when it comes to people. Even when it is someone people will say "I never thought they would do something like this".. Because you truly don't know what is going on in people's head. Anyone, at any time could be a ticking time bomb.. But with that said, you don't think everyone keeps some aspect of them bottled up?

Yes. We all get primal instincts/emotions from time to time. Societal norms/ethics/personal morals keep them at bay for most of us.

I know, so why do you waste your time coming in this thread and posting the obvious?

Most of us wish you would just hide and die.

Take LSUTangerine with you.

Of course I do. If I didn't, no one would talk to me.

Bottled up maybe. Restrained. Given a set of circumstances anyone probably has it in them to do something monstrous. We see this sort of thing with a mob mentality. It's not hidden. Just held back.

Wearing a mask implies hiding a true nature. That isn't most people. Just because a person doesn't share all aspects of himself with you does not mean that person is hiding anything. The person is still the same, just with interests or traits that you didn't know about.

The type of person "wearing a mask" is something else, but I don't think that's most people. It's probably most politicians.
