I understand what you are saying and yes its a little weird just because you have been with that person for so long. Its natural I think.

how did she get custody if she is a drug addict? seems like you could have gotten a lawyer all over that. I know a man who was in the same boat and got full custody

What is this?

Cause the law always favors the mother.

When I was in that situation, my thoughts moved immediately and only to "is this guy good to my daughter."

Once I figured out the answer to that question was yes, I never really gave that situation another thought.

How strange was it when you found out your ex is dating again? I don't want her back, but part of me feels upset for some reason. It's weird because I've been on dates, so I shouldn't care.

She'll care much more when she finds out you're dating again.

I'm just glad to know they have the internet in heaven.

Hadn't gotten there yet, but as of right now I'm pulling for her to find someone great for her like I found for myself.

It's completely natural. You'll get over the thought of her being with someone else but you should ALWAYS have concern about who she may be bringing around your kids.

My divorce isn't even final yet, and my ex and I are both dating. Neither of us care, in fact, we're both happy for the other. We have no kids together, so it makes it easier. We harbour no ill will. I guess it's not the typical situation, but we still consider each other friends. We didn't even hire attorneys for the divorce, we just agreed on how to split things up. Should be finalized in less than a month. Here's to moving on!

Hope she doesn't surprise your arse at the last minute. Friend of mine had a friendly splitting of the assets going then BOOM.

Didn't read the last 3 pages but I think it's safe to assume that the OT stance on marriage has been posted.

Your wife probably tells him that he is the best sex she has ever had. I mean I don't know if it's true or not...but she tells him that.
