I’ve noticed more price pressure (as a percentage increase) on lower end dining than higher end.

What is pathetic, is that you work your entire life... save up as much as you can to have inflation hit and it become 50% less than what it was worth just 2 years ago dur to inflated costs.

And all my friends laughed at me when I was blowing my money on vacations, toys, etc. instead of saving.

Jokes on them!

Oh yeah. The wine I normally like to order here in BR is $18/glass and it was $26/glass in San Diego this past week That's a big discrepancy.

I get very excited when we go to small towns or less popular cities and drinks are cheaper than what we typically pay in Nola

I'm just happy as hell that my company is allowing us to start having after meeting dinners and holiday dining again. Had a great meal earlier this week and tonight I'm going to try to order the most expensive stuff on the menu

When I was talking about whether or not the OP and his family had anything to drink with their meal I wasn't talking about $15 to $20 cocktails but what would be much more realistic for a family dining out would be $2.50 ice tea or soft drink.

I went to New Orleans Seafood and Spirits (Bucktown).. Got a Shrimp Po-Boy and Iced Tea.. That was $17 and change.. But the "Po-Boy" was 6 inches cut in half.. So basically I was looking at a 2 finger food shrimp "sandwiches". I told the waitress that's an insult to a Po-Boy..
