Did you get your Christmas tree today?

I'm heading home and I see a tree strapped to a vans roof. What's the point of getting it today? Not judging just asking.

I saw people selling trees today and had the same thought - why would anyone buy one on Christmas Eve?

Everyone has different Christmas traditions?

Actually that used to be the tradition. You decorated the tree on Christmas eve, I guess some just keep the tradition.

Germans receive their tree and presents from St. Nick on Christmas Eve. Many others have similar traditions. Ever heard of the 12 days of Christmas? I bet you take your tree down right after Christmas.

After noon on Christmas eve.

What's the proper time to get a tree? Do you do something special with it in the weeks leading up to christmas?

Sounds right up there with buying flowers on Feb 15th or candy on Nov 1st. Genius if you ask me, same experience minus the inflated prices.

I normally leave ours up until after new years. The year my Dad had a heart attack I was so stressed and busy I left it up well into Feb.

Maybe they don't want a tree in their house for two months. Get it the day before Christmas and leave it up for a week. Sounds good to me.

Traditionally people used to put up trees and decorate the night before Christmas.

I kind of feel like if you don't have one by at latest the second week of December, you don't really want one.
