I live in a place where 5 units share one set. If I'm using the washer and there are clothes that are done in the dryer when I need it, I just take them out and put them on top of the dryer.

I haven't had any complaints, it's more of a dick move to leave your clothes in the dryer after they are complete.

Yeah, when my roommates would leave their clothes in the dryer, I would always fold them if I needed to move them.

I wouldn't mind someone moving mine to a basket, but folding it would creep me out. I don't want some rando messing with my panties.

Yeah, I've only folded my roommates clothes for them in this kind of situation. Never encountered a moment where I've had to deal with that in a public laundry area. It might be weird involving a stranger's clothes.

It sucks, but rarely have issues. The biggest problem is having to go outside to use them.

Well they retaliated, they turned the heat nob down to "no heat" so when I went to get my clothes they weren't even dry. Had to waste another $2 in change to run the cycle again

Even in college no washer/dryer connects was a deal breaker for an apartment.

get their clothes out of the dryer so I can put my own stuff in. I just hope they don't get mad and take it out on me.

You put it in a basket -- You're good

You put them in a wastebasket -- Dick Move

I live in Iowa so my apartment options were limited, pretty much any decent apartment that had a Washer/Dryer in the unit or even hookups were $200 more per month than those without

It was the biggest sacrifice that we made, but we like the location of our place so much that we made the decision to live here.

My wife is still in college (professional school), which is the reason why we're still renting

Cedar Rapids

Most apartments are income restricted... so those that aren't are either really expensive or old. Your choice. I chose an old apartment BUT everything inside my unit is brand new, new appliances, paint, cabinets, carpet, everything so I got a good deal

They did you a solid by air drying your clothes. Didn't want you to shrink your tshirts and all.

Just hang around the laundry room to ensure no dumps are taken on your clothes

I did that all the time at my dorm, just pile peoples stuff on top of the dryer. These days i would probably try to neatly stack them

I always just assumed it was proper communal laundry etiquette to put dry clothes atop the dryer or in the basket associated with the load.

Leaving your shite in the dryer when there are limited machines is a dick move.

Can't believe they would turn your shite to "no heat"... some peoples children.
