I spent my 29th year depressed about turning 30. Was fine once I turned 30.

As long as I don't look my age I'm happy.

When I turned 20 I had an existential crisis. The nearly 30 since have been a breeze.
Once you come to terms with the fact that eventually everything you cherish about yourself and your life gets methodically stripped away from you, and that death and the abyss await, it's a cake walk.

Knowing that my best years are still ahead of me is comforting. My 20's I was young and dumb. I was lucky I didn't end up dead or in jail. My 30's have been awesome and wouldn't change a thing. I can't wait for my 40's. It's easy to have a postitve outlook when life is good and you know the future is bright.

I've kind of accepted it. Used to make me damn near panic but I did a lot my bucket list stuff when I was young, so I don't feel any pressure to accomplish or experience anything anymore. If something happens to me today, I've done a lot in a short life

based on what you have posted here, I would agree...

Exactly Owlie!!
Tgr....yeah my only main worries about getting older are health wise. I really hope I'm the fit old lady you see out hiking with her grandkids and dogs when she is 70. I would imagine as you get older you don't give a shite as much too about what others think about you. That has to be pretty awesome.

I didn't figure I'd live to be 70 so I got the good stuff out of the way first.

I'm even more flexible and have more upper body strength than I did 10 years ago.

Did any of you ever freak out over getting older?
I didn't care for it when I turned 20 and also thought about it a bit when I turned 35....but not really much at all other than that...

The only thing that really stresses me out about now about being/getting older......is losing family(esp parents).

Also 53, too busy not acting my age to worry about getting old.
