We stay in Grayton every year and I'd definitely think the OP wants to be east of there. Red Bar is good stuff, you just have to hit it at off times to actually eat in a reasonable time. No big deal, I just walk to our place and make a drink for the wait. Beachfront shouldn't be a requirement for the OP either, that's overrated on 30A. The dune lakes are very nice. I'd rather that to a beach when you've already spent half of the day there.

We stay at grayton too and I agree that the red bar is a great place to grab a drink (especially during off hours - wandering into the bar at 3 pm from the beach for a drink is something we do almost daily). The food is good enough, but it is not fine dining - not even close.

LINK . Watercolor does have golf packages with Camp Creek and Shark's Tooth. Camp Creek is a Tom Fazio Course and is ranked 18th best golf course in the entire state of Florida according to Golf Digest. Here is the link for Shark's Tooth.

The Hilton is inside the Sandestin property on the beachside. They have their own security gate. If you want to hear some damn good music, go to the Redbar on Sunday to hear Dread Clampett. They play at noon and at 7pm.

Sandestin resort as mentioned is what you are looking for. Beachside or seaside is the building we stay in I think
