Looking for a resort in/around Destin, FL, or even Pensacola with golf, a full-service spa, and dining on-site that is also beachfront. Having a kitchen option for rooms would also be a plus. Condos are not absolutely necessary.

I'm thinking Sandestin, Hilton, or Watercolor (though I don't think Watercolor has golf).

Any additional suggestions?

There's the Sandestin resort, but it's not on the beach side of US 98. I want to say Regatta Bay is on the beach side, but I don't know if it has any attached lodging.

Prepare your wallet.

Sandestin resort is on both sides of 98. I believe it is the only resort in the area that has all of what your looking for.

Be sure to check out red bar while there. It's about 10 miles west of sandestin off 98. Awesome fun restaurant. Not a place for kids though I would compare the food to any nice restaurant in New Orleans.

Sandestin is what your looking for. Several restaurants, 4 golf courses, beachfront and bayfront, spa and decent on property nightlife.

Probably why I have never been there. I can walk to the red bar so no need to drive into Destin.

Sandestin Resort is nice, but is there any reason it has to be Destin or Pensacola?

Gulf Shores has the Beach Club (on site dining and spa) and is right next door to Kiva Dunes and a couple miles from the Peninsula.

Better golf and cheaper. Beach Club is about 12.5 miles from the public beach towards Fort Morgan and is about .5 mile from Gulf Shores Plantation so the clientele is pretty "secluded" from the general public.

Some of Sandestin is beach side and pretty much fits the OP's wants to a tee. Regatta Bay is not.

I think Beach front has virtual golf - that's what I see on their site at least. Is that correct?

Beach Club has virtual Golf, but the Beach Club resort is a 1/2 mile from Gulf Shores Plantation which has Kiva Dunes, which is a nicer course than anything at Sandestin.

Gulf Shores Plnatation isn't bad either, just not as nice as Beach Club and Beach Club is the resort that has on-site dining and spa

Gulf Shores Planation

Peninsula is about 5 miles from the Beach Club as well if you wanted a different course for another day...again, not on-site but very close and very nice

Watercolor is definitely much nicer than sandestin and it has a golf option too (Camp Creek) but the golf course is not on site. It's about 7 miles down 30A from Watercolor.

Sandestin is what you want. It's beach and bayside. Multiple golf courses. a bunch of restaurants and hotel, condo and house options.
