Coors brewery tour

We almost went to Coors a few months ago, just did't have time.
I'm not sure if I like Denver more in the summer than the winter. Coming from Louisiana, I think I enjoyed the snow and the scenery more during winter. If I had to live there, I'd prefer the summer over the winter.

We went last September, spent the majority of our time in Vail. We hiked and stayed in a teepee, it was pretty awesome. Saw a bear and a few moose, the scenery was incredible.

3 to 4 hrs max

You can go to Grand Junction in less than 4 hrs. I seriously doubt there will be skiing anywhere in June, its been a warm winter without a lot of snow. Even if they are open, its a horrible idea. It will be skiing on ice dodging rocks. I live here and love it but Denver is a city, like most other cities. Go to the mtns. Rocky Mountain National is fantastic, do a waterfall hike. Spend a day on rented bikes in Ft Collins riding to the different breweries. You can drive to the top of mt evans in an hour so, do it on the way to Buena Vista to go rafting. How long are you here for?

if your group is at all tolerant of baseball, I would recommend a rockies game...watching a game in that dry climate and thin air with the rocky mountains towering over the outfield fence is something that you won't soon forget...

and frankly, it is a way to spend an enjoyable afternoon without spending a ton of cash...

another thing that I would recommend is seeing a concert at red rocks...that is the place where they filmed the Bloody Sunday video for U2...very cool place...

4 days min, 5-8 ppl.
I'm sure they wouldn't mind going to a game, just don't want it to be the focus of our trip.
Red rocks is on the top of our list, I've been there before and its spectacular!

Bump...

Taking an impromptu trip with the wife to Denver in a month. Everything downtown less than $500/night appears to be booked up. Which area around Denver should I look at instead. Westminster, Lakewood, Aurora, somewhere further out? TIA.

Don't spend a lot of time in Denver, the Mountains are where it's at. Go find small mountain towns with good scenery, food and brew.

So I've heard. Plenty of places to drink some good beer around there? Google maps says Denver is an hour away.

I've done this, and it was awesome. I would highly recommend to anyone that is in the area and has the time.

Its a little out there, but look into Devils Thumb Ranch near Fraser. Fantastic scenery- its backyard is the Continental Divide.

If you plan on partaking in the legal cannabis, get a smoking room. Edibles are tricky for the amateur.

Plenty of river rafting opportunities throughout Colorado you will have to decide which one you want to go to the most.

Pikes Peak in Colorado Springs has a descent by bike from the top of the mountain down.

There is ATV tours, jeep tours, fishing trips, some of the mountains have Alpine slides.

Downtown Denver is where you will find good food, bars, and pubs.

Coors tour in Golden.

There are also train excursions in a few spots you can get on. Trains

Estes Park (Rocky Mountain National Park)

Casinos in Blackhawk, CO

I'm experienced with edibles, I'm sure I'll be their guide if they plan on partaking.

What are you and your wife wanting to do in denver? We spent a few days brewery hopping, never going tours just got flights at each one. I didn't think much of the city of denver,it's just another big city. The mountains are were you want to spend most of your time

Estes Park itself is like the beer desert of Colorado. You're not too far from Oskar Blues, though. Unfortunately, the highway there was closed when I was there.

I liked Boulder.

I'm not married, I'm happy.

Just enjoy the out of doors. The sky is truly big. And be ready to have some elevation issues, breathing might feel a little labored.
