I'm scheduled to get bone grafted into my sinus cavity and a titanium screw in my upper jaw on Friday. Tooth was congenitally missing...not lost to decay or an accident.

Any reason I shouldn't do this? Hellish recovery, horror stories, factors I'm not considering? I don't smoke, I drink a bit, and I chew gum a lot.

I'm supposed to get two done on the bottom at a later date, but obviously I'll know the deal by then.

Thoughts?

Thanks

I got one knocked out and have an implant. It's no big deal. After a few days you won't even be able to tell the difference

$4500 tooth so you won't have to grind down two perfectly good teeth.

Would do the same

Go bigger. Women always regret not having gone bigger.

Go with Gold. The price has fallen recently.

Cake.

I had two and had no issues.

Expensive, but worth it.

What's a good price for this? I broke one of my upper molars and need to get it replaced...looking at implants but the price tag...hurts...(2500 for the pin then another 1500 for the implant...before insurance kicks in of course)

I believe both of 'em were around 8-8500 or so.

I don't recall the exact price, but ins. didn't pay crap.

Mini-implants and not as expensive and usually require no grafting

Hell no to this malpractice. Minis shouldn't be used as single tooth abutments and throw in that it's on the upper arch and this is a cheap recipe for failure.

The only decent outcome in this deal would be that it would fall out on it's own before the implant could break facilitating easy removal.

TRue.

I wonder why regulars are so expensive? I guess because people do pay.

Idk what those are. They drilled into my jaw, but some bolt things in, and after those set,,they put some temp deals in. Then I went to my regular dentist and she put the tooth part on or whatever.

The only aggravating part was all those visits.
