I give it 13 months before it's run down, half broken, and out of business

Ah Shell.

But really I'd prefer a spot at Canal Place. This one is really only good for Saints games

Well that and now D&B

I've never been to a been to a D&B's. I'm assuming kids are allowed in during the day?

Might give it a shot if so. We went to Barcadia a few weeks ago with the kids just so they could play some of the games since we were in the area. Kind of too cramped/crowded of a set up for us to enjoy.

If you goto that walkons on a weekday night or a weekend with nothing going on the place is pretty much empty.

People really think this? The only time I've ever had to go there were when friends from out of town come to Houston and for some damned reason they have to go there.

The city approved it.

The commission staff recommended that operators of the national chain provide a minimum of one security guard during all hours of operation and that they submit detailed plans for any exterior signage.

quote:

Robert Mouton, managing partner with Locke Lord and a representative for Dave & Buster's, asked the commission to waive both provisos. He said that they employ a full-time director of security who oversees 73 locations and requested that the commission, instead of mandating a security plan, defer to their own expertise.

Since the New Orleans location will be on the sixth floor and accessible only by elevator, loitering won't be an issue, he said.
