They generally start growing out of it. Middle school girls are the worst.

My oldest girls(twins) are getting closer and closer to that age. They haven't had any problems, but I know it's inevitable. I'm just glad they have older brothers.

My daughter only had one girl that gave her crap. This girl was a Mean Girl type that ran with the popular crew. Every time one of the girls from this clique would speak to my daughter, she would text them and tell them not to speak to her. She constantly did little bitchy things.

This little bitch kept tabs on everybody's every move. Long story short, she didn't graduate because she missed too many days of school to go party.

I always told my daughter that this girl would be her waitress one day. Neither of us cares enough about her to find out what establishment she works at to go there though.

People move on but when it is happening to your daughter you want to kneecap a little shithead. Refrain from that, if possible.

Since she was young, whether it was at school, a bday party, or sleepovers...i tried to make it a point to mention to the kids how much I would hurt anyone who hurt my baby girl, and not smile.
I did it while they all are getting along, but got the point across that I was involved, lol.

So far, so good...but I know it's coming

Keep a carful eye on this situation, boys and girls are very different when it comes to bullying especially if it involves a "pack" or "clique" type situation. When boys bully as part of a group it usually only goes so far until one of the group steps in and stops it, not so with girls once they pick someone to bully they will work as a group to destroy them socially, mentally, and sometimes physically. A lot of girls have been driven to suicide, it has happened often enough that there is quite a bit of research into it.

Very true.

Boys also have the option of standing up to the bully and fighting them. Win or lose, as long as the bullied kid puts up a good fight the odds of the bullying stopping or even the two becoming friends is very high. With girls, there is little hope of earning that kind of respect. There is only petty vengeance.

I have three daughters (oldest 11) and I can assure you girls in the pre-teen/teens years onward can be horrible to one another. Not sure how or why but it is true. Not all but a lot of them.

Boys would fight it out and be done, girls are catty.

So you're bragging that you would hurt a little girl? You sound like a tough guy. That little girl would take you to Sonic and throw you through someone's windshield

As the father of two grown, successful daughters, I can tell you there is nothing meaner than a bunch of junior high age girls. i think part of it is the changes they are going through, and the other is the need or want to fit in. They tend to run in packs or cliques, and almost always have to have one girl associated with that pack that is in disfavor for some stupid reason that they pick on. Good thing is they tend to get out of this about midway through high school where they start to figure out it's ok not to be exactly like everyone else. Good luck as your daughter makes her way through this phase.
