Someone warned me when my daughter was younger that there is no one meaner than pre-teen/teenage girls. I thought I was going to skip that part with a kind, reserved, introverted daughter, but in the past month, I have witnessed two incidents that have made me want to get involved.

The first one, my wife and I literally sat down and told her that some girls were bitches. She should move on, try to avoid her and not worry about any crap this girl spews because she doesn't matter.

The latest one - I know the dad of the mean girl. I consider him a good man. I'm thinking about calling him and letting him know what is happening.

I don't want to lay it all out there, but the girl is leading a charge against my daughter - they have been friends over the years, but life happens. I'm not expecting them to be best friends but getting other girls to do shitty things to my daughter for the hell of it isn't acceptable either.

I’m not looking forward to it. Girls are either making fun of someone or trying to fit in so they don’t get made fun of. Not sure how to navigate that.

Don't call the dad. That will end that relationship and next week the girls will be friends again.

Let them figure it out and stick to giving your kid and your kid only advise on that subject.

I star in that movie.

No. This is in person. Its more of being a bitch than bullying at this point. But my little girl is hurt over it. I repeated the "some girls are bitches" line to her but this one hurt more because they had been friends.

Do like I did and it worked out fine. Send her to boarding school.
