Anyone have ideas/products to "nicely" hang your bikes indoors. I keep my bike in my office (I forget to close the garage door way too often), but waiting to pick up my second from the bike shop this week and it's starting to get cluttered. Currently I'm liking the idea below, but it isn't the cheapest thing ever and I'm not sure how secure the bikes are (although this guy obviously trusts his bikes with them). I'd like something that looks good in the office while also making the bikes easily accessible.

I put a hook on the ceiling and hang it.

How secure does it need to be? Those bikes weigh what, 10 lbs?

I'm not worried about it coming out of the wall due to weight. More someone bumping it and it coming out of the holder. Bikes will be ~16.5 lbs and ~21 lbs.

And I don't want to hang it by the wheels if at all possible. One, for the look in the office. Two, because some wheels aren't supposed to be hung like that. Not that I own them yet, but they are in my mind for future purchases.

I see a lot of those for cheap, which is why I don't want to spend $70 a pop for those other ones. But I do like the way they look and this would kind of take the place of framed prints or something in the office. Also, like the idea of not hanging the bike from a carbon fiber tube, but I doubt that's of any significance. I'll probably end up making something like in your pic or buying a decent looking rack like the one above.

With these, you can keep it in your garage and people still won't see it with the door open.

If you notice they had to remove the handlebars and pedals for that to work. Not very practical.

Plus I'd always have my crazy arse neighbor barging through the door.

I do this, but not in a hallway in front of a picture. Did Jerry ever even use that bike? What a waste of space...

Those type of racks just lean against the wall, or do you screw them to the wall?

I suppose you COULD just lean them but I didn't want to take the chance with our carbon bikes. It uses one screw or anchor in the wall at the top.
