Funny how some DOTD personal said their coffers are going up from the gas tax since oil prices are down.

Petrochem like DOW benefit from lower crude prices. Refiners like TSO do also. Airlines ie UAL benefit from lower fuel costs (offset some by ensuing ticket price wars). Lower oil prices make borderline profitable drilling areas like Tuscaloosa Marine Shale and Bakken unprofitable so those focusing on exploration in those regions will see stocks go down. Big loser; Russia.

The wife and I are both in healthcare, not sweating it. Love this cheap gas, though

The extra $20 a week likely won't change much in my life.

Someone will always complain. The same ones excited over the oil drop and telling O&G employees to shove it are likely the same ones who complained at $4 gas.

I'm saving about $15 each time I fill up. Still, $30-$45 a month isn't a ton, but it does kinda feel good nonetheless.

It's less than that for me, because I rarely tank up. But I like the feeling of filling my tank and only having to dish out $35.

Felt nice paying the same amount and getting double what I used to.

Full tank will last me about a month.

According to David Rosenberg at Gluskin-Sheff, for every penny that the price of gas falls, the savings per year to U.S. consumers is about $1.5 billion dollars. So the $1.06 drop we’ve seen over the past year will put over $150 billion into consumers’ pockets to be spent elsewhere.

If the price of Makers Mark was cut in half I would be rejoicing. Now THAT'S savings for me.

It wasn't fun when the day before Christmas Eve we are talking about laying people off. Made a list ranking all employees to figure out which to lay off first.

Hopefully it doesn't come to that and all of our guys will stay employed. But we have already had to lower our prices which means everyone will likely be taking a pay cut. No one will be happy about that but wages were inflated the last couple of years with the boom. And it's better than the alternative.
