My dad told me when he was 9 or 10 his parents would drop him and his brothers ( of similar age) off in downtown Baton Rouge on the weekend sometimes . They would go see a movie and go to frost top. Wasn't dangerous in the 50's.

Went to the California Pizza Kitchen today for lunch. I didn't see anything strange at all. Normal nice Sunday at Perkins Rowe.
Had a good meal. Chatted up some college students and left. Hell, I even offered up some cough drops for what sounded like a scratchy throat.
I think they just wanted me to buy them liquor or something. Creeped me out so I left with a quickness.
