My son plays in the Carrolton 5/6 year old league in NO and it was damn near $200. Unbelievable.

Carrollton provides the opportunity for a lot of poor kids to play. A decent chunk of that goes there. Plus, insurance and paying umps and concession workers.

Is shaking dice not common in LA baseball?

There was always a dice shaker at my games, usually a dad, admittedly. Mom doing it is a little weird.

We're U12, playing in U13 at the Strawberry Cup, but so is the U12 (06) Fire CP Red.

Nice. Parents of these well established clubs are so much better than most of the slapdick teams we play. We've played pretty much every club in LA, except Shreveport and LC.

Yeah me too.

But travel ball parents are pretty chill once they settle in

Sometimes you get a crazy uncle or grandparent. Or if you play a team from down da Bayou or a big name Hispanic team from Houston. Those two types of teams bring some nuts.

yep, they're legit. They are the top 06 team at City Park

There is also a (06) AP Red at Audubon Park, (06) Red at Lafreniere Park Park and (06) Red at PAC.

Hard to say which team is the best as they all are the cream of the crop at each park in that age division.

Ha, I never knew what all the abbreviations meant. We've played 05 Fire White, 06 LP Red, 06 AP Red, 06 CP Red...when the ages went to yearly it mixed up some of the teams we used to play from NOLA, like the Jesters and Motagua...haven't seen them compete in the A brackets since. Always like to play the quality teams like BRSC Black, BlackhawksBlack...good Fire teams.

Gotta a child in it?
