I imagine it would get old dealing with people that would stop by, at least if there were a lot.

Surprisingly we were the first non-reporters to find the house... we're talking 7 years after he was caught

On the first documentary I saw, it had his street sign and a picture of the house... I googled the street name and realized my friends lived right down the road

Wanda Hollaway - The Texas cheerleader case.

This crime was solved, but it is crazy.

quote:

Holloway had an intense desire for her daughter Shanna to be a cheerleader. In 1991, when Shanna narrowly missed out on a spot on her junior high school squad, Holloway asked her ex-brother-in-law, Terry Harper, to hire a hitman to kill Verna Heath, mother of the 14 year old girl who had beaten her into the squad.

Holloway believed that Heath's daughter would be so devastated by her mother's death that she would drop out of the cheerleading team, thereby giving the spot to Shanna. However, unknown to Holloway, Harper had gone straight to the police after Holloway approached him; she was arrested the next day.

BluegrassBelle -

Do you know anything about the Clarke family home invasion/rape case (maybe also murder) involving a high school girl in Kentucky to reportedly kindly turned down the advances of a guy in her hs, only to be targeted by the guy and a friend after they were hired to work on her family home? I'm guessing this would have been some time in the mid to late 90s.

Not quite as deep, as you are dark. But I make up for it with effort.

The disappearance of Eleanor Parker

Edwin Edwards' niece. Last seen leaving her parents' house. Derrick Todd Lee was 13 at the time so he's an unlikely suspect. Sean Vincent Gilles was 18 or 19, so possible, but he readily confessed to all his crimes and never said anything about this one.

Me too, man I was stuck on this story on the OT the whole time. Too bad she didn't kill that piece of shite herself.

JB Beasley and Tracy Hawlett in Ozark AL. Two pretty white high school girls go to a field party, are found dead in the trunk of a car, never solved. Police had a suspect at one point but it didn't work out. Only odd because police never even seemed to be close to figuring this one out
