I need a day laborer tomorrow to do some stuff around the house. Would you feel more comfortable hiring someone who posts an add on CL looking for work or a random...uh...day laborer from the HD parking lot?

I would feel better hiring an American citizen but that is just me. People who hire illegals should be jailed.

I have a bunch of honey do projects to do this weekend so I would like to hire someone to come do some basic, but time consuming yard work (mowing, weed eating, edging, pulling weeds, etc). It's simple stuff but I want to focus on other things.

CL is NOT reliable for that kind of stuff. I hired a moving crew via CL and they never showed up--really left me in a bad spot. frick CL.

Home Depot. I moved last year and for $200, two Mexicans unloaded a 26' U-Haul, and placed all our furniture where we wanted it, in under 3 hours.

Damn. It does sound like I am looking for teenage boys. That didn't cross my mind so NEVERMIND. I'll go to HD.

Another good point about the "lazy" comment. Obviously, I didn't think that through.
