Those additional facts seem bizarre but who knows? Fall asleep watching tv together and awaken at 2:30 am to start fighting?

Abortion is legal as is prescribing adults birth control but that is for another thread.

So is having sex, but I have a hunch that most men probably would not like their wives doing that with other men.

That uCompare data is actually old as well

if you go to the reviews of why he got those two bad ratings (on Ucompare) that dropped his grade the complaint was that they waited a long time for an appt...which is what myself and others have said as well. The reason people often waited a long time is because he took alot of time with each of his patients. It was something his established patients dealt with because of the quality of care that they got. new patients probably hated it alot more; which is understandable

Because those rating sites are stupid. That rating is based on 6 ratings. If you didn't like the wait in his office, you'd get po'ed enough to write a negative review.

Doesn't matter what your hunch is. What he was doing - or what this thread said he was doing as I have no idea if it is true- is perfectly legal and practiced by more than one OB/GYN. Two that are friends of mine specifically. Both women Drs.

Not after he dies.

Courts can squash or release his records.

Wait, you think PHI can be released for patients, when their physician dies?

Yes.

Can lead to character of physician

They can redact patient names, but the records could be opened.

Especially if he was doing unethical practices.

Oh, I can imagine that if you don't give patients all they want when it comes to opiates, you're going to get a reaming.

You could not have been riding your bike then.

You just said "yes", then two lines later said "no". The patient names (and identifiers) are the PHI.

Also, there is nothing unethical about providing services for patients and not notifying their spouse. It would be unethical (and illegal) if he did notify the spouses without authorization from the patient.

I thought you were a chef, why are you trying to school us on health law and HIPAA?
