Well you would have to look at each individual case and see if there was plausible evidence. Buzzfeed can spew whatever statistics it wants, but they are less than a credible source.

There was also a 2016 report that sexual assault increased 28% on the date of LSU home games.

This is a national problem. But people are letting fandom, on both sides, drive this thread.

I just want the facts. That being said, this story could be even bigger than Baylor.

I think at least most of us want the facts.

Right now based on the information we have I'd say they have a pretty good case against DCH and the Tuscaloosa PD.

I see no case at all against the university. Could that change? Maybe, maybe not. It is a certainty any lawyer would add the deepest pockets in town o matter how tenuous the connection.

Well your past posts have implied that you are moving to Louisiana, so the needle will be shifting slightly more in Louisiana's direction for sure.

Well the population of Baton Rouge does double on gameday so the likelihood of any crime happening would increase.

Dude, just stop. It's sad to see a terrible situation used to try to troll fans of a football team or supporters of a university.

This situation was mishandled, by the police and a university counselor, but it isn't like the higher ups in the university planned some elaborate cover up. And what are you talking about with the football team? What does that have to do with anything?

I will not stop. Alabama used their power to make sure this guy gets off because he gives so much money to football. Had you or I raped a girl and stuffed her in our vehicle we would be in jail right now

This is one incident. Baylor was multipls.

Because

that in Tuscaloosa, only 10 cases out of 98 sexual assault reports in 2016 were heard by a grand jury, and 12 out of 124 from 2015.

First, Tuscaloosa covers beyond just the University of Alabama. Not every person in Tuscaloosa is associated with the University. Therefore, not all of those cases in those statistics are related to anything that happened with anyone at the University. Also, as I mentioned earlier in this thread, there are many difficulties in getting a rape case even to the point of being in front of a grand jury, and those reasons are not because of cover-ups. It is simply difficult to get the evidence required to prove that consent did not exist, therefore, the prosecutors cannot take the case forward.

I do not condone anything that TJ Bunn, Jr. may have done. I do not condone the mishandling by the police and the university counselor. If the evidence that he did rape her or anyone else is found, prosecutors should charge him and move forward with going before a grand jury. This case is horrible and sad, but to look at this case and those statistics objectively, you have to understand the greater problems with prosecuting rape cases.

Which is kind of the point. The article in the OP is using statistics from the city of Tuscaloosa as a whole.
