I would use silicon personally, if you use wd40 go light and stay away from other plastic parts in door

So the other stuff is safe on everything?

She said the window is in the up position. It won't go down

probably means the cable didn't snap but that the motor went bad. If the cable snaps, the window wont stay up.

Yea silicone spray will be safer imo, I would try that first assuming you check the fuse. Like someone else said it could be regulator. You can get them in a junk yard or around where I live Oreilly's tends to be cheapest

I just replaced my entire motor and everything on my grand cherokee last night. Took about an hour to do in my garage with some simple tools and cost me only about $70 for the part.
