Anyone play here recently? Our group wants to play something different and the Bluffs only has afternoon tee times for Sunday as does the Island.

i played friday, the greens are terrible, the cart we had was terrible.
i will not spend another dime at that place for a long time. it reminded me of the old Briarwood.

You heard wrong my friend. I have golfed there a few times recently and everything was good. I do think that they were dealing with these issues around December but has since been taken care of

Nail in the coffin was getting rid of the driving range. Might as well remove the rest of the course and build track homes.

What is your definition of "good"?

Exactly what I was thinking. Why get rid of the driving range and keep the course open? Either keep the course the way it was or just close the whole thing and build homes.

No range? I played a course like that once and just brought my own shag bag to the first tee. Hit about 20 or 30 warm up shots and then teed off.
The course went downhill.

Go play Fennwood Hills. Best greens at the 3 Zachary courses even though its a 9 hole course.

I was told they scalped them at CM and didn't apply some of the chemicals they needed to during the winter. Over the last 3 months they have gotten better overall but are still pretty bad.

Walked off after 7 holes. Didn't keep score. The maintenance crew was having a picnic on the 7th green.

Played in a tournament at Copper Mill last month. The course is in absolutely terrible shape. Large dead spots on most of the greens. One of the greens was completely full of weeds. Also, it doesn't have a driving range. Like others have said find another course to play.
