Huh, the state police investigated. They didn't investigate themselves.

That being said, you have to be a moron to clean a loaded weapon.

She's a cousin of mine a couple times removed. My mom is pretty crushed right now.

So, a law officer that has hours upon hours of firearms training, accidentally discharges a firearm in the direction of his wife that happens to strike her in a lethal fashion while he was "cleaning" it is dismissed my another law agency is not suspicious?

How many guns have you cleaned loaded, or even intact? The first thing most people do is disassemble it.

My condolences to the people that have ties to this family. I am playing the Devil's advocate.

I don't see where it says it was determined to be an accident by the state police or that the investigation is over

Oh, I ain't saying it isn't suspicious. It certainly sounds so. But then, I know nothing at all about what actually happened. I was just disagreeing that you insinuate it was corrupt just because it was cops who did the investigation. I've known dozens of cops from all sorts of backgrounds and the idea that there's some sort of circle with them all singing kumbya is not accurate. Hell, in Georgia, the GBI just investigated an officer in Athens and got him locked up for 15 years because he used his baton illegally. I ain't saying corruption doesn't exist but in circumstances like this, it's very hard to.
