Ok OT. I need a car. I haven't owned anything except a truck in 10 years, so I'm out of my area of expertise.

I'll give a list of requirements and see what y'all come up with based on quality and personal experience.

1. Decent gas mileage, 25+ mpg
2. A little peppy in the speed department. I don't want a drag car, but nothing that struggles to hit 90 either.
3. New or less than 30k miles.
4. Leather, heated/cooled seats, nav, Bluetooth radio etc...Those extra luxuries that are nice.
5. Under $25k.
6. Dependable and long lasting
7. Nothing with higher than average maintenance cost.
8. 2 or 4 door, doesn't matter. Just need a backseat.

Any and all advice is appreciated.

The ventilated seats are going to limit you. If you get rid of that requirement, you can get a new Toyota Camry XSE V6 around $25k, maybe a thousand more. Bullet proof reliability, comfy, what I think are good looks for a 4 door. That'd be my choice for a "cheap" sedan.

The cooled seats is not technically required, I really figured that was standard with most leather interiors.

Heated/cooled seats COULD be eliminated, but I still need leather.

I'd get a VW Golf GTI with a manual transmission. TDI if like diesels.

Camry XSE has heated leather with suede inserts. You'd have to go to Texas to get the price I gave you, but it's worth it. Go drive one, they're very nice.

VW Passat turbo. Very quick/fast and mpg is incredible. You can get a 2015 with leather etc with 12k miles for about 16k. All that bad press has created a bargain.

I don't know how long it will last or what maintenance cost will be but for 16k for essentially a new car who cares?

laugh if you must, but I bought a 2011 chevy malibu about 2 years ago and absolutely love it. Good gas mileage of course, and it's surprisingly decent on the highway. On road trips I'll look down and see I'm going 90 and have no idea how I got there. When I bought it was under 2 years old and had under 15,000 miles and I got mine for under $15K.

Now, I got the basic, barebone package to the inside is no frills basically. But I'm sure there's options for fancy stuff if you want to look into it.

They also aren't half as bad as old malibus. This is the upgraded version of mine (again mine is basic) but you get the gist of the look. Mine is black and really all I did in the looks department was tint the window and give it a red bowtie and it was ready to rock.

currently looking a Lexus Hybrids...

you can get a used 2013 300h for below $30K

Autotrader

I personally like the 450h but you sacrifice mileage

I will not laugh. I'm pricing everything from a Ford fiesta, chevy Cruz, to a Mustang GT

I'm seeing 25/34 mpg on the C300. Anybody with personal experience can verify those numbers?

I see what you're saying, but I will use this car for at least 4+ years. I'll keep my truck, but 16 mpg isn't going to be fun at 100 miles a day

The big 3 are really my safe zone vehicle due to their reliability, but that's only because I'm ignorant on the quality/dependability of other manufacturers.
