Used to, hopefully live long enough to resume after retirement. (Drug Screening for employment is real and not worth losing job over it.)

I also have a history of providing continuing education credit presentations to medical professionals on the science of cannabinoids. Things like: Anandamide (wikipedia) is a naturally produced analog of THC found in all vertebrate species tested for CB1 receptors. (there are also CB2 receptors in the lymphatic system of humans). Anandamide is the first known non-protein hormone ever and has opened a whole new area of pharmacology for research.

All you potheads think this is funny but there's little old ladies that drink this water. They're probably getting wasted and going through a years supply of Werther's Originals in a week.

She did not know the source or extent of the contamination. The Lincoln County sheriff's office says federal authorities are also involved.

Everyone should be required to take a toxicology class in school.

Simply being detectable in no way indicates a problem. There are a whole slew of contaminants at or below regulatory limits in everyone's water supply. Even if you drink well water there will be trace amounts of heavy metals.

My uncle emailed this story to me earlier, apparently there's been over a dozen overdoses.

Heard that too, people were boiling big pots of water down to nothing and eating the residue left in the pot. Most people don't realize that it doesn't dissolve in water. People just don't know anything about the drugs their taking.

There is no known LD50 (dosage which is lethal to 50% of the population: Lethal Dosage 50%) for THC. There is only an estimate based on tests on monkeys, in which no monkeys died. This estimated dosage is over 18 pounds for a roughly 140 pound human: US Dept of Health

So a human weighing 140 pounds would supposedly die if they ingested 18 pounds of THC, which at a high content plant would be (25% THC level) 72 pounds of kind bud.

ETA: from DEA Administrative Law Judge, Judge Francis Young in a 1988 Ruling to reschedule cannabis: "15. In strict medical terms marijuana is far safer than many foods we commonly consume. For example, eating ten raw potatoes can result in a toxic response. By comparison, it is physically impossible to eat enough marijuana to induce death." Copy of Ruling

That's just another way to say "Colorado town's crime rate suddenly dropped to zero over the course of a month because everyone was chill as frick".

We tested our water supply over the weekend and it did indeed test positive for Meshuggah and a slight trace of Slayer.

Pay attention Detroit, this is how you taint a water supply.
