Corn Syrup is not Kosher. As such, as every Passover approaches, Coca-Cola manufactures a limited amount of their product Coca-Cola made with real sugar, which IS Kosher.
These limited runs of sugar Coca-Cola are not available everywhere. You have to find a grocery store or other outlet near areas populated by people who celebrate Passover.
The real sugar Coke is sold in 2 liter plastic bottles and differ in that the plastic cap is yellow. The yellow cap and insignia on the yellow cap indicate this special Coke made with real sugar.
There's no question that Coke was better when it was made with real sugar. The company switched to corn syrup because HFCS is cheaper than sugar.
If enough people buy up the Kosher Coke, maybe the company will re-issue real sugar Coke for the regular commercial market.
Passover Coke should be appearing on select shelves within the next few weeks.
People who prefer diet soda because normal HFCS soda is too sweet have a point. Coke made with real sugar is actually LESS sweet than HFCS Coke, but, that's what makes sugar Coke better.
