Like the dad said earlier, the ocean is their playground. Call it right or wrong, but these boys spending a lot of time on the water may have actually saved them.

The reporter linked in the OP is backing off that two were spotted. Not looking good, if her sources are accurate.

No. They would drop down to the temp of the water around them and be virtually invisible to heat signature tech.

Kinda morbid, but, yes. Anything floating in the sun has a greater heat signature than the water around it.
