At least there's a near full moon right now. If it isn't too cloudy, they may be able to see a bit. I'd still be scared shitless, but not as bad as in pitch black.

Is there any chance they may have washed up on an island?
----------------------------------------------------------
There are over a hundred islands in the Bahamas, but I don't thing they got anywhere near there. If they're drifting north in the Gulf Stream, Bermuda is a few days away. (Not that I expect to hear that these kids spent a week or ten days in the water and then managed to hit Bermuda.)
I heard on the national news tonight that the northern limit of the search area had been extended up to Savannah, GA. It's a big ocean and picking out a small white Yeti from a whitecap is going to be tricky business. When I opened this thread earlier, I was really hoping that a miracle had happened and they were found alive. No joy...

Sadly, this looks very bleak.
I doubt they will ever be found. In a month, the parents will probably still stand firm and think they are on an island somewhere. Terrible all around.

So .. I guess it turns out the OT didn't break the story, again .. Just s bunch of speculation and rumors fueled by amateurs listening to online marine radio .. What was up with the posts that said they needed blankets and were bringing people in ?

Why is this false thread and/or thread title allowed to remain?

They found them? That's awesome!
