Remember the red NA Miata that was seen on national TV as a woman and a dog were pulled from it? Well, as it turns out ClubRoadster.com forum member Ethaniscool does, and with the help of a local Mazda dealership is restoring the car - which was stolen from the rightful owners by the woman with the dog - for the family that owned it and had lost everything in the Louisiana flood. Love or hate the Miata, this story warms the cockles of even my cold heart.

Someone broke the inside scoop of that car being stolen on the OT as early as the night it happened.

I thought it was too but yet everytime this story is told in the media, they refuse to mention that the only reason she was in the car is because she stole it!

For this story it really isn't relevant. The guy that rescued both human and canine life is the important subject.

This thread was pretty predictable. Crap on the lady. Glad to hear that the OT has flipped and is now against alcohol and drugs.

There were reports of her driving very badly leading up to the rescue, right?

She's one of ours. You people can't criticize us for it.

Incredible that the area around Tiger Bend looked like that. The whole area around the Amite and Clay Cut was smashed.
