What's interesting about Cape Town is the place where the murders happen is really far from the actual city. The whole western Cape gets rolled up into "Cape Town" when doing the stats. The bad shite is over in Mitchells Plain, though there are general security issues.

Latoya should be extreme proud of that.

Not just one of the best in the US, but top 10 IN THE WORLD!!!!!!

What an absolute treasure.

Jackson had 99 murders per 100,000 inhabitants in 2021 for reference. List is incomplete.

There's a couple of common denominators among the American cities on this list.

Where is Jackson, MS? Any list like this without Jackson is bunk.

There's no possible way this is true. The OT has taught me that NO and BR are the only 2 cities with homicides and no other city has them.

I’m no apologist but I have to question just how accurate these numbers are. It’s very unlikely that all of these places are using the same criteria to calculate their numbers. It’s seems reasonable that the numbers could be easily manipulated.

Looking at real estate yesterday on the web in NOLA. Saw a house in a gated golfing community. 5000 plus sq ft with pool and three car garage for just over 500k. That home would be 2 mil here in Baldwin county. Saw many houses in the 300k range that would go for at least 750k here. I guess this sort of explains it. High crime, poor schools, horrible mayor and leaders, the sea level thing...etc.

Its a shame because I really love the first house we looked at.
