Here's my go to...

quote:

2 cups sweet and sour mix
1 cup triple sec
1 1/2 cups gold tequila
1/3 cup brandy-based orange liqueur (such as Grand Marnier®)
2 limes, quartered

Anyone else have anything good?

Most sweet and sours suck. The key is finding one that doesn't.

The best I have ever come across is the powdered sweet and sour mix that sysco sells to restaurants. One pack mixes into one gallon of sweet and sour.

I like a 2-2-1-1 recipe.

2 oz tequila, 2 oz fresh lime juice, 1 oz Cointreau, 1 oz simple syrup.

I am simple.

Tequila, lime juice, triple sec, maybe a splash of OJ and simple syrup.

Teaspoon of agave nectar

This in the place of simple syrup is even better.

Similar ingredients but half a beer and maybe a third of a can sprite. As much tequila that it takes to fill the blender.

I don't like marg mix (too sour), and gives me heartburn for some reason.

One of the best margaritas I've had lately at a restaurant only has these ingredients and is amazing

1800 Coconut Tequila, fresh squeezed lime juice, house-made orgeat syrup, and a splash of pineapple juice

Costco's mix is 100% real sugar, no corn and their tequila is top notch for under $20 a litter...

Silver tequila and squeezed limes. Salted rim. No added sugar. Squeezed oranges or an orange liquor or acceptable.

Finally, a motherfricker that knows what he's talking about. I use 1 shot water, but that is the only difference.
