Bill O Reilly just looked at his DD 214 and declared that it is indeed TWO Silver Stars.

The way I've got it figured after reading the entire thread....there are just about 9 pussies presently posting. Cut the guy some slack. One thing for sure, not a single one of the pussies posting here would have walked up to him and called him a liar to his face.

What difference does it make? The man did four tours and put his life on the line for your freedom. He should be celebrated for that alone instead of criticized for what was written in a book. Who cares.

And the book was for making money and he probably did say some bs in order to help sell it.

I'd embellish some facts to sell more books and most people do.

I believe him on the New Orleans sniping story for two reasons.
1. If it was true, the military would scratch it's collective head and say "Hmmm, Never heard of that." They are apparently doing this. They would do this either way but...
2. I had an ex Army Ranger in Orlando (He was from New Orleans and still has friends and family there. He also returns every few months.) tell me about a week after Katrina there was a Seal team in N.O. taking out hostiles. This was long before the book was ever written. I could have sworn he said they were operating around Canal Blvd. though.

Everyone seems to know a military guy who knows for a fact special forces were killing people left and right after Katrina. These stories are bullshite just like the rescue dogs dying in the water. NOPD was the only group killing civilians.

I mean you can't exactly tout your honor while being an outright liar at the same time.
I'm pro Chris Kyle so to speak, but the lies he told in the book were dumb and unnecessary. As someone else pointed out, his did four tours and his story was good enough as the truth. No need to lie when it calls your other stories into question as a result.

Because apparently a source in the Navy said that it did NOT contain that information.
I'm not really sure how that information is dispersed, but if it is easily verifiable, I'm surprised it took this long. If it isn't easily verified, I'd like to know how Rick Perry and Bill O'Reilly have seen it.
