Has a cop ever come up to your car screaming with their guns drawn? Wouldn't that kind of make you feel flighty?

no surprise here either.

he Independent Police Review Authority, which investigates police shootings, cleared the officer who shot Chatman of any wrongdoing. However, court filings allege that the agency cleared the officer only after an investigator who opposed that finding, Lorenzo Davis, was fired. Davis has filed a separate lawsuit about his dismissal. The police review authority has declined to comment on Davis' case because the litigation is ongoing.

Being white I have had plenty of interactions with police. I was taught to respect authority. Never had a gun drawn on me but I have been frisked and fricked with by cops. Who knows had I been a disrespectful punk maybe some of those interactions would have ended in hand cuffs.

As for using the n word with hate...who cares? What if they say "I hate that stupid POS" does that matter less? Black people use deragotory terms with hate all the time towards white people...I'm sure some in your family have done it. So what's your point? But to answer your question no one in my family uses that word...can't answer if any of my extended family does.

When is this fact uncovered? Before or after he committed crimes and fled from police?

i just don't think challenging a cop will end as well for me as sucking up my pride and not being a total a-hole.

I bet few folks here have really witnessed the shite cops deal with in cities. A population that straight hates them and disrespects them. I've seen a big group of young people openly jeering and provoking cops on patrol. So it's foreseeable when a cop finally snaps and shoots one of them as he runs away after committing a crime.

Thank you for this reply. I have previously thought you were just racist. I understand your position. I come from a very "Southern" upbringing (read, racist) and I disagree with many of their blanket views. Imagine my surprise when my father sided with some of these black teens because in his mind, a police state is far worse than petty criminals, regardless of race.

Welcome. Many, not saying you, read my post and make incorrect assumptions. And yes, there ain't much murder in North Korea because it is a dictatorship police state.

Most drug dealers don't have loads of money. Not street level dealers.

Maybe foreseeable and one may even "understand" it. But lawful and without consequences? No. Just as would not be lawful for an inner city impoverished teen who has witnessed lord knows what in his "hood" from the time he could walk and gives in to criminal behavior or gang banging. Understandable? Yes. Lawful and without consequences? No.

I don't think anyone can understand what thpe of stress cops face everyday. Imagine dealing with the worst our society has to offer on a daily basis. We have all seen the videos of cops getting shot during routine traffic stops...I would always be on edge if I was a cop.

Ah, so they assumed he was armed and going on a killing spree? Got it. That might be the new excuse the police can use. "He might have had a gun, but we don't really know or have any evidence. So we shot him just to be safe"
